Clona, recovers and you do a backup of your hard disks HFS

All a series of tools exists in the market UNIX able to recover the system Mac OS X but, often do it of incomplete way, happening totally of the metadatos HFS that contain additional information indispensable for their good operation; Heliums Xtar, a tool of clonation and restoration of systems Mac OS X in discs HFS, invite to us to follow by the good way.

Xtar heliums conserve the attributes of each file, folder and disc, contents in files HFS, in such a way that all the additional information and attributes are preserved and they are not lost during the clonation process. The fact to conserve this information will allow to recover the Finder with total reliability and until making possible the creation of volumes of automatic or “bootable” starting, once recovered.

During our proving stand, we have shown that the used technique was one of most trustworthy of the market. For each file HFS, one keeps two small files: one that contains the file in himself whereas the other costraight locks up all the indispensable attributes at the time of being manipulated by the Finder; the set is encapsulation in a file TAR.

Minimum requirements of the system:
